About

The Purpose Project was born when Matt Bennett had a realization: the world changing non-profit leaders of the 60s and 70s are starting to retire, so where is their wisdom going to go? He wanted to make sure the next generation of social leaders embrace the lessons of yesterday by capturing the stories and the knowledge of their predecessors. This is the concept of The Purpose Project. Matt and co-director, Michelle, seek the stories of retiring influential change-makers and offer venues for the generations to have a dialogue focused on advice, mutual successes and fears, and lessons learned.

About

charity: water was born after Scott Harrison left his opulent, empty life as a Manhattan party promoter for a world changing experience in West Africa. Aboard The Mercy Ship, a floating hospital serving the world's poorest communities, he awoke to vast and dire need. He could help. So he did. He began by giving up his birthday and asking for donations to give clean water to Africa. Projects got bigger and so did budgets. Viktoria Harrison was brought on in the organization's infancy to build a fresh, compelling brand for charity: water. That she did. She designs everything from national advertising campaigns to multi-million dollar grossing events. She keeps it simple, because the mission is simple: give every person on the planet clean drinking water. Three years later, charity: water has grown into a respected leader in the non-profit world with over 2,300 water projected completed in 16 countries.
