Baking for Good is an online bake sale where people can order and customize gifted goodies for any occasion and 15% of the proceeds go to a participating charity of choice. With an array of both cookies and causes, this site intends to fill both your heart and your stomach.
About the speaker:
Emily grew up baking. After graduating from Harvard, this smart cookie moved to NYC for a consulting job. With an entrepreneurial whisper in her ear, she started Baking For Good, marrying the concepts of bake sales and charity giving and bringing it online. She funded the business herself and since its September 2009 launch she’s enjoyed very sweet success.

I found baking for good through the Crush+Lovely site and was extremely impressed by this idea and its notion to simply "put other charity's first" It is so easy to just simply replicate the purpose of another existing organization but it takes an intelligent, strategic entrepreneur to create a niche that fits the role of developing and helping others become great while still being able to exist!
